Grim Reaper School

Meet Charlie, a foul mouthed twelve-year-old who would rather play video games than do her homework. She attends a high class school, loves skateboarding, and bullies her best friend into wreaking havoc on authority figures. Oh and one more thing. She’s dead!

In the afterlife, Charlie has been placed into the “Grim Reaper School”, the place where the souls of children go if they have unfinished business left behind. Unfortunately for Charlie, before the judges could even decide what to do with her, a weapon of mass destruction places itself in her hands, and she is assigned the task of babysitting the school’s hyper and psychotic headmaster (who forgot to lock the stupid thing up in the first place!). This kid is convinced she’s been cheated, but she’ll soon learn that there’s more to being a Reaper than wearing a black cloak and waving a scythe around.

my dogs are launching an anti-work ethic attack on me so the cover may be late today.

Over the weekend we had a few blackouts from all the ice and everything, so they are cleaning up the roads now with huge trucks picking up gigantor branches that fell off over the course of the weekend.

Unfortunately this causes my 3 dogs to go absolutely nuts. they want in, they want out, they want in, they want out, they want in... then they bark and howl endlessly. Outside they bark and howl endlessly.

So naturally, who is in charge of keeping them preoccupied so as to keep them from digging out the backyard or tearing up the house?

Me!

So yeah. drawing obviously... not happening atm'. Didn't happen yesterday either since the kids were out of school, and my ten year old sister makes it a habit to hang all over me and tail me 24/7 when she has nothing else to do.

So expect it later this evening.

Chapter 5

Chapter 4 comes to a close this week. Next week, Chapter 5 will begin, with a cover posted on Tuesday and the first "page" on Thursday. I'm trying to spread out my updates a little more and go at it twice a week rather than full blown page updates on Tuesday. I just get so excited xD But I think we can all agree that I'm not a conventional webcomic artist by FAR. I spend more time doing everything people tell me NOT to do...rather than listening to their advice and rules.

I don't claim to be an expert or to know everything there is to know about making webcomics, but I do what I can, honestly.

Goals for the new year: to put Grim Reaper School in a physical form. That's my main objective. And more art, more playing around and just having fun with it.

I can't believe there's only one more week of January left. Yeesh.

Ugh. I can't believe it took me so long to update again. Well good news is, I fixed all the broken links. I finally have my webspace back! So naturally, this calls for some pimping...

And btw, there is one more page before this. I've drawn a couple more pages but I'm going to space it out and wait until later this week. So 2 pages for now to keep the story rolling. I'm sorry there is poor technique and that there are things I would have been shot for doing in school BUT! At least it looks pretty, no?

Anyway, Charlie makes a snarky comeback... but there's more going on behind those eyes than the poltergeist can see..

And you guys don't get to see it until Thursday. HA.
